Information under the Right to Information Act, 2005 Details as provided under Section 4(1) of Right to Information Act 2005 are given below: Particulars of Organisation, its functions and duties
The Company has been registered under the Companies Act 1956.
Main objects of the Company are to establish, operate, manage, undertake and maintain airports and allied infrastructure facilities at Kannur and /or other parts of India, for the safety security of aircrafts, passengers, cargo and other users and to provide all facilities for the promotion of aviation, tourism, trade and industry and for the security, defense, customs, immigration, traffic control, and maintenance of aircrafts either individually or in association with other Undertakings or Companies in India and/or abroad The present authorized share capital of the Company is Rs.1000 crores divided into 10 crores equity shares of Rs100 each. As per the Orders of the State Government dated 27 February 2010 the proposed Kannur International Airport will be set up as a private airport by a Government led consortium. 26% of equity will be with the Government, 23% with Public Sector Undertakings, 2% with other institutions promoted by the Government and remaining 49% with private individuals and institutions
The Control and management of the Company is vested with Board of Directors. The powers and duties of the Board of Directors are enshrined in the Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Company.

Statement as to whether meetings of Board, Committee of Board, General Meetings etc., are open to public, or the minutes of such meetings are accessible to public The company maintains the following Minutes.
As per the Provisions of the Companies Act, 1956, the meetings and Minutes of these bodies are not accessible to public. Minutes of proceedings of any general meeting is open to inspection of members of the Company during business hours for a stipulated period of not less than two hours daily subject to restrictions contained in the Articles of Association. Members of the company are also entitled to copies of minutes of general meetings within 7 days of request on payment of a prescribed fee. |
